The Villa
ge of South Jacksonville
, Illinois, a corporation established June 16, 1911,
operates with a Village President as CEO
and a Board of Trustees as the keepers of
 the laws within the Village.

Gordon D. Jumper is the Village President (1997-present).  Our community of 3,500 is located in Central Illinois, just north of the intersection at I-72 and Route 67 in Morgan County, Illinois.

The Plans Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals oversee construction and zoning issues within the community.  Several Committees assist in the decision-making process, making sure the
Village operates efficiently and effectively.  Go to the "Officials"

Landscape waste (brush, grass, leaves, limbs) can be dropped off at Jacksonville's site (near intersection of Oak and North West) by South Jacksonville residents at a charge of approximately $7 per pickup. Contact Jacksonville for more info. 217-479-4600.
