The Village of
South Jacksonville, Illinois, a
corporation established June 16, 1911,
operates with a Village President as CEO
and a
Board of Trustees as the keepers of
the laws within the Village.
Gordon D. Jumper is the VillagePresident (1997-present).
Our community of 3,500 is located in Central Illinois, just north of the intersection at
I-72 and Route 67 in Morgan County, Illinois.
The Plans Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals oversee construction and zoning issues
within the community. Several Committees assist in the decision-making process,
making sure the
